Do you think this transformer core would work.I have some highline wire they was replacing some lines in my area and I got the workers to sell some of the old line to me.I understand you can sometimes use insulated wire to wrap transformers.If my wire is big enough to handle the current I should only need to wrap 1 primary and 14 secondary otherwise I need to do a lot of wraps both sides I think.

We have a tape wound toroid core in stock that may do the job for you. The strip width is 2" and the build up is 1 1/2", so it has a cross sectional core area of 3.00 sq inches. The I.D. is 3" and the O.D. is 6". Weight is 11.3 LBS and the price is $88.00 FOB El Paso, TX. The core has a protective coating on it so you can wind the wire directly on the core with no tape or insulating paper. What do you think?
