I am making a set of disco lights for my GCSE Coursework and need to know what i would need so that i could detect the beat of the music and convert it into bursts of electronic signals so that it flashes a set of three lights.

If anyone has any ideas could you please email higginz@msn.com as well as replying in the forum so that i know when i have a reply.Your help is urgently needed so i would be very thankful.
