You can program the computer to do the delay function, using the internal clock. You may want to upgrade the clock chip because the original will not be accurate to the second after 999 days.

This BASIC program illustrates what I mean:

10 REM THIS IS A PROGRAM TO SET A DELAY TIME
20 REM WRITTEN BY RUSS KINCAID 19 APRIL 2002
30 CLS
40 PRINT"DELAY TIMER PROGRAM":PRINT
100 PRINT"YOU WILL INPUT THE MONTH, DAY AND YEAR IN THIS FORMAT: MO-DA-YEAR"
110 PRINT"EACH LETTER REPRESENTS A DIGIT"
120 PRINT"YOU WILL INPUT THE HOUR, MINUTE AND SECOND IN THIS FORMAT: HR:MI:SE"
130 PRINT"AT THE GIVEN TIME THERE WILL BE ALL "ONES" OUTPUT AT THE PRINTER DATA"
140 PRINT"PORT"
