The UC1525A or UC1527A PWM IC would be a good place to start, but I did not find an application note with actual schematics. One important note: with high power you need a dead time between pulling up and pulling down or the output transistors will overheat. The UC1525A has this feature. This is a Unitrode part, now produced by Texas Instruments. TI has other parts which may be of interest. Try a Google search for schematics (www.google.com)
