I have a 74LS02 feeding the base of an NPN 2N2222 thru a 220ohm resistor. Emiter is tied to ground and colector is going to one leg of relay coil . The other side of the coil is tied to 12Vdc. Why do I keep blowing transistors and why will they not function? Voltage to base is 3.54Vdc when output is high. 0.6Vdc when low.
