About 20 years ago I worked along side a technician who designed an incredibly simple, but effective constant current source that supplied about 150 vdc at 10mA. I recall that the circuit used only one power transistor! It ran directly off the 120 volt power line through a simple half-wave, capacitor-input, dc supply. Does anyone know how to do this? I have an unusual application for this.
