looking for a tone generator to use in locating phone lines with an inductive probe. must withstand the ring voltages present as well as telecom battery, usually 48 volts. an oscillator comprized of a 4069 works but how do you connect this to an "active" phone line without being destroyed by the ring and battery voltages? this unit is being produced by PROGRESSIVE and is called TRACER 2, but i want to make one a bit more powerful.
