Shortly before the old message board was terminated, I posted a message asking for help with designing a circuit which compares a given frequency with a signal for a microphone and displays, by lighting one LED from a row, how sharp(#)/flat (b) the tone played into the mike is. Can anyone help?

PLEASE DO NOT ADVISE ME AS TO WHERE I CAN BUY SUCH A DEVICE AS I AM BUILDING THIS CICUIT AS A GCSE (UK compulsory education qualification) COURSEWORK PROJECT.
