Subject: Robot questions

I want to build a Robot with out using a microcontroller(68HC11, etc.)
I have like more than three sensors. The probelm is how to
connetct all the sensors to the LOGIC circuit and then to the motor.
for example, if the front line detector sense a white line,
the robot has to reverse. and if the back sensor detect
something the robot has to go forward. Since the Logic circuit
will be connected to the motor. What kind of logic circuit do
i have to use.
