Dear Tharma,
Plenty of IC packages are availale for ADC. You can
get a IC and make a simple circuit (basic knowledge of
electronics is enough). connect your analog input
(audio out, measurement, etc..)to source.
Connect 8 Data Pins to ADC chip's output pins.
Write a C program to read parallel port
( outportb command will do)at respective address
(usually ox378). But you can't have precision
more than 256 steps (256 = 8 bit input to parallel port)
