Im hoping to get some input on this as Im not
totally sure and I dont want to blow anything
up since this is an expensive component.

I have had to replace a triac (Q4025P) with the
NTE equivalent of NTE5679. The problem is the case
is different. The Q4025P had a TO3 ISOLATED case,
but the NTE5679 has a TO3 square pak, but it does not
indicate that the case is isolated. If it is in fact
not isolated can I still use it if I use the mounting
insulator and do I use thermal compound directly on the
insulator, both sides...one side...?

Thanks! I.A.
