What I'm trying to do is input a PWM signal, extend the width, then output the modified signal.

I have a couple ideas on how I could do these as follows,

Find a device that can input a PWM signal and convert it to an integer. Once it is converted then input that iinteger into a PIC controller and do my manupulation there and then output it to a integer to PWM device.

Use the PIC controller to sense when the PWM signal goes low and then the PIC would hold it high until a specified time has expired.

Any ideas?
