I really want to steer you away from trying to make a crystal oscillator in this way. Although commonly attempted, it is a most unreliable and temperamental circuit indeed!!! Please see the postings I made in response to Greg Lynch and consider either buying a commercially available crystal oscillator or making one from one or another well known discrete circuit for that purpose.
