I'm afraid I've come to my limit on this subject. When Sara asked about cents, I had to go to the on-line dictionary. Their definition, upon some reflection actually, is not complete. It isn't clear if tones separated by cent intvervals are at linear increments of frequency or in some ratiometric intervals. As I said, I am not a musician.
