I am a student of a Colombian University and I have been looking forward to universal Control Board (or Universal Control Cards??). I heard about this topic a couple of weeks ago and I want to know what they are, I mean what kind of specifications do they have, I heard that UCB have a microcontroller and posibbly a DSP.

I would like to know more about this interesting topic, can you help me with this?? Where can I find information about it? Specifications, Companies that produce them, etc.

Anything that can help me with it, because I am needing this to do my Posgraduate project.
