Hi, Bunz.

I'm afraid that I can't give you a whole lot of specific information about designing an SSB AM receiver. Receiver design is, I thnk, just about as complex as circuit designs ever get!

The only thing I might suggest is reviewing back issues of the American Radio Relay League's magazine QST for some possible design examples. Indexes of QST appear annually in the December issues.

Way back, and I do mean WAY back, there were QST receiver design articles about "home brew" receivers called the HBR-14 and the HBR-16 which were respectively, fourteen tube and sixteen tube Home Brew Receivers. I have no direct knowledge to the effect, but is within the realm of possibility that in the ensuing years, the ARRL may have published more up to date receiver design articles upon which you might draw.

Good luck.
