Fluoroplastic materials are a type of plastic that handle very high temperatures and are very chemical resistant. Another characteristic of this material is that is has a memory. If you extrude a tube and expand it, it remembers what its original size is and if exposed to high temperatures, it will begin shrinking back down to its original size. Fluoroplastic materials that we carry are PTFE, FEP, ETFE, ECTFE and PFA. Each fluoroplastic material has different characteristics (i.e. temperature range, lubricity, flexibility, clarity).
