I read with interest your question in the Fluroplastic forum regarding the ability to dissolve Teflon. 3M Fluorinert FC-40 and FC-75 are able to dissolve Teflon AF to about 18% by weight. Teflon AF is an amorphous form of Teflon and Dupont claims there are other Fluorinated solvents that will dissolve it. I have not looked to see if it will dissolve the Teflon coating you are describing. Nor do I know the process for dissolving Teflon AF. I assume it would involve some heat. I got some good information from rwong@semitorrnw.com whose company sells the Fluorinert products.

Let me know if you find anything else,
