A high volume low mix production line differs somewhat from a high mix production line.
Is your board designed for high volume?
Is your line automated or do you have ( partial ) manual assembly?
Do you do single sided and wave solder the boards?
Looking at the placement machines, I assume the feeder set up is optimized. I also assume the machines do not look for more than two fiducials. What are your stoppage times? What are the reasons for machine stops? Can you splice the tapes before the component feeders run empty. Is the component flow from the stock room continuosly? Does the line operate through shift changes and break times?
Do you see a bottleneck in your line? Are there waiting for board times?
It may be worth to hire a consultant.
