Hello,

I was offered a 12-month internship at Infineon in San Jose, but the offer has been retracted. I am hence looking for a similar position elsewhere.

I am about to complete my fourth year of a five year combined Software Engineering and Commerce (Economics) degree.

I am seeking an internship in software development, starting as soon as possible after December 1. I would be available for anywhere between three and fifteen months; if for more than three months, I would defer my final year of university until 2004 (I made arrangements to do this to accept the offer at Infineon).

This year I am involved in a year-long project for an external client. In a group of five, we are required to establish processes, gather requirements, design, build and test the system as well as provide documentation. As well as furthering my technical skills, I have gained experience in liasing with the client and our supervisor and writing technical documentation.

I am interested in working on any project, in any country, so long as it is software-related. I am keen to gain experience to complement my course, as well as experience living in another country. I participated in a year-long exchange last year to the University of Nottingham.

Please don't hesitate to forward my details on to anyone who may be interested in employing me.

Kindest regards,

Sarah Michener.
