Hello everybody,
I am a student in Computer Engineering and Science and i would like an answer to my problem. How can i program a quasi-directional port in a 80196 Intel microcontroller (such as IOPORT1). Since there is no directional register for the programming of such a port how can i toggle between modes of io operations? I have the impression that if i want to use a port's pin as an input i must write a 1 to it before i use it and if i want to use it as an output i must write a 0 to it before i use it. I really need's somebody's help on this because i have a project based on that microcontroller!
