Dear Sir,

I wanted to know whether the following requirement can be met by one of
your products? If not, can you please recommend a product which will
meet our requirements::

A programmable box having one serial RS-232 input port and one serial
RS-232 output port.
The product should be able to:

1. Change the format of the ASCII string coming in on the input port and
output it at the output port.

2. Change the baud rate from 9600, no parity, 8 data bits and one stop
bit to 4800 baud, no parity, 8 data bits and one stop bit.

Format of the input string is :
QT_LG 123.45 0.0 0.0
The box should be able to convert it to:
$HDT 123.45

To elaborate more on this, in the output string, the characters “$HDT”
should always be there and bit nos 8 to 13 should be picked up from the
input string and appended to the output string.

Is it possible to have such a “format converter” box.
An early response would be appreciated.

Thank you,
