We are looking into manufacturing small tanks (simular to a small propane tank you see under an outdoor grill). I was wondering what process is initiated from rolled steel. I was told the tank are stamped, cut, and formed. There is a weld directly around the center like two domes are joined and the top handles and bottom stand are tact welded to each half. These tanks have to be massed produced to be cost effective, so I'm guessing mostis automated. Am I on the right track?
