Hello All,
We usually impact extrude aluminium 1050 Alloy, usually at a hardness BHN 17-20. Now we want to try something new in HE 30 alloy aluminium. We have the slug right now at 47 BHN. Would annealing get the BHN any lower? Coz, Some one suggested HE 30 cannot go below 40 BHN even after annealing and annealing also might spoil the grain structure. Is that TRUE? Any information is welcome. Please advise.
