You should be able to easily see any sensors in that unit; as I do not have one or the schematics for it, you are pretty much on your own. Dig into the HP website. You can usually find parts lists for specific models on there and diagrams to show you where the parts go. It is usually very helpful in those odd times when you dont know what you are looking at.
