My mother's computer will not come on and she is in another city from where I am. She said the message is somewhat as follows:

External Cache pipeline has burst -- c:\failed -- EDO in Dramrow:0123 --- drive detected IR!15 I\O address o1x70. This is only an abbreviated version of the error message, but I think External Cache pipeline burst tells it all. Is there a simple way to repair or is her hard drive fried.
