I managed to come across some damaged external parallel case at computer swap meets ($5 for 3). I swapped the (good) backing plates and circuit boards from a combo of the damaged boxes into the scsi case.

The main difficulty will be using a driver that is recognised by your OS. I was lucky in the fact that I manged to track down driver software

In some respects it would be a lot easier to go new. And in real terms - look for a USB case (assuming that you have a USB port - or will fit one) into your pc. (and that your OS recognises PnP USB (Win 95b on i think)

If you go the USB route it will be much easier to swap the HDD for a CD etc at a later date..

hope this helps...
