here is my story

no one at MO will help me I have come to my Home Country the Big land of OZ for Help! Dont let me down fellow OCing OZZIES!

Purchased a upgrade 7 weeks ago
it was nice

Asus A7M266 mobo
Micron non Cruical DDR ram
GF2 Pro 64mb
ADI E66 19' Mon

Ever since I have had the upgrade my screen has been doing weird sh!t, mainly to do with the settings of the Size and Shape of the Image on the Screen ie. Vertical Hold, Horizontal Hold, Vertical Position, Horizontal Position and Tilt.

Now all these change randomly whenever The monitor is turned off for a period of time, the screen saver is on for a period of time, the monitor goes into stand-by mode for a period of time, Rebooting the computer or sometimes just sitting there doing stuff on the desktop.

Now this is very very annoying! as I have to change it back to a usable size/shape etc.. every 10 mins for the last 2 months.

Firstly I though it was the monitor was broken.

So I rang up the Distrubtor of the Monitor and they replaced it with the same one ADI E66, that one was stuffed it, just would shake side to side all the damm time.

So im like I dont want another damm ADI E66 VALUE! range monitor so I paid the Distrubtor like some more $$ for a ADI G900 19' Pure Flat screen CRT etc.. (Hitachi Tube).

Got this on monday, I have tried it on my other Computer with a GF2MX and it does the same thing (the random movement).

I spoke to the 'Computer Upgrader' at work and he said he had the same problem a few years ago with a Mitshbushi Monitor and a Matrox G400 and he said it happens to certain Monitors and Video Cards that arent compatible.
So is it my Video card and the ADI monitor??
Has anyone else had this problem???
My Detailed specs are:

Windows 2000 Pro SP2

Windows 2000 NVidia Refreh Rate Fix ver1.4 build 148

NVidia Detonator driver

ASUS A7M266 mobo rev 1.04 BIOS 1004A

AMD Athlon-C T'Bird 1.333ghz stepping AJYHA running at 1.5ghz (150FSB) with a GlobalWin FOP-38.

Prolink Pixelview X-Player Pro (GeForce2 Pro 64mb) oced
from 200/400 core/mem to 230/460 normal use,
benchmarking 240/480, its Moded with Custom PCB Mount Heat sinks (from altronics http://www.altronics.com.au/) to the ram with Artic Silver 2 Thermal Epoxy and Thermaltake Blue Orb with Artic Silver 2 Thermal Greasy.

ADI microscan G900 19' Pure Flat Screen CRT Monitor (Hitachi Tube)

ADI Monitor Driver v9.7 inf

256mb PC2100 Micron (non Crucail) ram

If anyone else had this problem or fixed it

at this rate and I just spent 1k on the last one 7 weeks ago!
