I looking for any information about using 220 volt control
power circuit for a elevator.
This elevator is old and is wired up with 220 volt, all
limit switch and safety interlocks.
What happen is water got into the limit switch and shorted
of out or cause a close circuit to
ground, it energize solenoid that open a valve and made the
elevator drop to the basement.
Nobody got hurt, but is this a safety issue.
