At point 5.1.5 Emergency switching device, EN 50091-1-1 (in the next future 62040-1-1) states:
"A UPS shall be provided with an integral single emergency switching device (or terminals for the connection of the remote emergency switching device), which prevents further supply to the load by the UPS in any mode of operation. If reliance is placed on additional disconnection of supplies in the building wiring installation, the installation instructions shall so state.
The requirement is not mandatory for pluggable UPS if permitted by national wiring rules and relevant circuit diagrams"

My questions are:
1- When the standard states:"or terminals for the connection of the remote emergency switching device"
-Can we understand that this device may be installed out of UPS in the building installation? or
-The device shall be provided in the UPS and we could install an external switch in a location far from the UPS to activate the Emergency device remotely?

2-What's the meaning of: "If reliance is placed on additional disconnection of supplies in the building wiring installation".
What must we understand when we talk about additional disconnection of supplies?

Thank you!
