I have a related question regarding the malfunction indicator lamp. Mine came on yesterday in my 1999 Honda Civic. I read the manual, and it said to check the gas cap. Sure enough, I had lost it. I bought a new one and replaced it. The manual says that the lamp should go off after "three driving trips." Does this mean trips of a certain length? I have driven three times already, but the lamp is still on. I feel fairly certain the missing gas cap was the problem, but why isn't the lamp going off? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
