Hi,

We are trying to stretch form a stainless steel pipe (316L)
the problem is that the pipes shows lines of deformation inside which is not wanted. The mandrel that goes in the pipe to expand it shows quick abrassion wear.
We are using D2 steel.
My question is what kind of mandrel material would you suggest, and what kind of lubrification. Does a surface treatement of the mandrel necessary to make it harder?

Thanks for any info.
