Dr. Gant,

Taking as example high speed steel work rolls for finishing mills manufactured by Villares Metals, a Brazilian rollmaker, we have the following hardness values:

Roll Table: 80 HSc (ASTM E140)
MC Carbide: 3300 (HV 20)
M7C3 Carbide: 1500 (HV 20)
Matrix: 820 (HV20)
