We have made major changes to our tag database and now are unable to load the db from floppy disks to the consoles. The error message is "NCP2 tagfile: Tags out of order. Expected 18819 received 18818". The documentation mentions "tag indexes out of sequence" as an example of an "unrecoverable error", so this is apparently a known problem possibility. However, it makes no mention of how this could happen, nor what to do about it.
We are using Infi-90 with Symphony software, OIS4xj1 revision. Also, what are the ramifications of re-indexing the database? The documentation tells how to do it, but I'm afraid that it will create some unforseen problems.
Any help is appreciated, even speculation. (Sometimes that gets the brain jump-started). Thanks, TK
