We are currently testing hybrid variable pressure operation on our units. Has anyone had any experience as to the benefits/cautions operating in this mode. We have 2 large CE forced circulation boilers with 3.5 million pounds per hour MCR (530 MW). The variable pressure range would be 1000 # to 2400# throttle.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
