This might not be helpful, since I am unfamiliar with your system, but it will work for anyone who has our set-up. We have a Bailey Infi-90, and the EWS (Engineering Work Station) uses Bailey WinTools. My method requires using Microsoft Excel. (Notepad can't handle Fields, nor files with any great size to them)
This works for me:
From the EWS, I open the tag database, using the Tag Browser Utility, then select "Print" from the "File" menu. It opens a selection window with options for "Print to printer" (default) or "Print to ASCII file". Select the ASCII file button. It will prompt for a location to make a *.OUT file. Pick a location (for example, C:\Temp) and replace the * with a filename (for example, MyTags.OUT).
Open Excel application. Use the "open" menu from within Excel--this won't work if you try to open the file from Explorer. Select "All files" from the "File Type", then find your C:\Temp\MyTags.Out file. Excel will open a series of windows, asking for more information. Except for the window that wants you to check the location of column breaks, just say "next". (Check the column breaks--line them up before the first letter of the field headers. Some headers will need a column break added. Excel will tell you how to do this). When you are finished, a lovely spreadsheet will open. Save it as an Excel worksheet (with the extension .XLS)
I do this a lot. It works, and I can put it out on the company network for others to view.
