Dear All

I made a infrared filter using the above materilas with a DC magnetron microwave assisted reactive sputtering system. They were desined using Tfcalc program, I have some problem with the result the transmission in the visible is 15-10% lower than the deigned and the other part (ie rejection) in the near infrared is same as the design. So I concluded that the coating is absorbing. Then I made sio2 and nb2o5 seperately with the same deposition parameters as that of the IR filter and the result was that they were non absorbing.

So can anyone explain me what is happening.

Thanks
Ravi
