Depending on the thickness of your coating, the list of facilities can range from the Rockwell indentation tester up to the AFM microscope with the nanoindentation option. As I presume, your particular application is for cutting tool protection that means thicknesses in the 1-5 um range. In this case the Vickers indentation tester with the 10-50g load will work perfectly.
