Don, Hydrogen is not absorbed into titanium it reacts to form titanium hydride. The titaium hydride can then be used to store pure hydrogen (about 480 liters STP per kilogram of hydride). The hydrogen can be released by heating. The hydride is very brittle and by repeated hydriding and heating titanium powder can be formed. Don Mattox
