is it benificial in mbe to have a "wire loop" placed close to the vapor source to establish a rate relationship. i understand this is done with effusion cells and am wondering if i should try to incorporate the same technique to rod fed electron beam sources. i am currrently designing a new 3kw source and could easially incorporate this feature but have found no articles or information on the benifits of such a feature -or- what type of final signal is best. any info is appreciated.
