I current own a decorative plating and anodizing shop and am looking seriously into installing a small metallizing operation for doing misc ABS automotive parts with aluminum. My parts will not be any larger than 24" x 12" (most will be half this size or less) and I am not looking for high production. I'll probably only be doing no more than 20-30 parts a day. Which metallizing process would be best for appearance value (vacuum, sputter, arc vapor)? How much of an investment would I be looking at if I buy a system new? Or used? Is there certain companies I should contact? Thanks in advance.
