THe coating of plastic parts (ABS too) via sputtering can be done easily. Both Cr and TiN adhere quite well to plastics when they are sputtered. The question would be what is your application? Because the parts might need some sort of interface layer or overcoat layer if the coating is used as a vapor barrier or decorative coating.

I can't comment on how good adhesion would be using other methods of coating such as E-Beam or evaporation.

There are many companies that do this kind of coating commercially and it would depend on the size and quantity of parts.
