While Vladimir is correct as it does seem there is something else wrong with the system. I would like to suggest this possibility to answer your question. Maybe when the foreline is at the higher pressure it is giving some of it's energy to the gas it is pumping, it must be pumping gas if the foreline is higher. Perhaps there is more heat transfer to the diffusion pump walls through the gas when at a higher pressure. In either case those pressures are not enough to explain any difference of temperature on a properly functioning Diff pump.
