Thank you again, wcteng. I really appreciate your suggestions. You are correct that AR gas will make a big difference in the quality of the sputtered film. I did some reading about the subject, and found some good articles. I'll let you know how I make out. It will be some time, though, since my X-ray repair business has become very busy lately! I don't have a lot of time to experiment. Thanks again! Mike Gray
