I came across your company web site by searching for CCTV in the UK and find it most professional and informative.
I shall appreciate it if you could find the time to read this note as I believe I can be an asset to your business. This is not my CV or references, but a brief summary of my experience in the CCTV industry.
I am 46, a white South African male and was married in Reigate Sussex to English women. I stayed in Crawley for 7 years and worked for Williams Amusements (www.williams-amusements.co.uk )as an electronic engineer full time during this period.
Due to death in the family back in South Africa we retuned here back in 1983.
My wife and children left South Africa a couple of years back and are all full time employed in the UK at the moment.
Since my return to SA I diversified and started my own business as a consultant to the electronic amusement machine industry. I specialized in the repair of electronic equipment.
Through my consultancy business I became involved in CCTV due to demand from the Industry self. I installed various analogue systems over the past few years and then decided to specialize in the Digital field. Since 1999 I have been active in the security industry in SA, converting existing analogue systems to digital.
Towards the end of 1999 I procured exclusive rights from Taiwan for a Digital Monitoring & Recording System, which I still market successfully today. Due to demand from clients, I soon became aware of the fact that every customerís demands are unique and had to alter my approach and became an independent consultant sourcing the correct product for the specific client.
Till date I proud myself to be one of the top professional advisors in SA in the CCTV field, and personal references from Corporate Clients like DUNLOP, BP Zambia and other medium and large enterprises can proof this.
Running my own business certainly provided me with the best experience possible, from marketing your product and services, R&D specific products for clients, quoting, installing and maintenance are all fields that I had to become an expert in. I spend a period of time in Taiwan this year on product training.
I established my web site http://www.dmrs.co.za and started to market my products and services on the net at night. During the day I follow up enquiries and do site inspections. On site I will do a URS (user requirement specification) and then go back to the customer with a complete analysis of what is needed as well as a break down of costing.
From here it is a negotiation process till conclusion. Various presentations and board meetings later a transaction will emanate. In cases where my product was not suitable for a client I never hesitated to outsource to other suppliers, which enhanced my knowledge even further as I had to know all other products available in the market.
I trained an installation and product support team myself, only after I have done my own installations and maintenance for some time.
The above is brief and should you be interested in my services I can let you have a detailed CV.
My whole family is in the Uk and I am considering moving back there soonest. With the unsafe situation and the falling Rand in SA it is now time to move on. I am certain that my experience can be an asset to the industry in the UK.
Looking forward to your reply.
