We are currently looking for a Power Electronics Engineer for one of the
world's largest and most diversified industrial corporate research and
development facilities. The position is located in New England.
Responsible for concept development and implementation of R&D tasks in
a collaborative team environment on projects in power electronics as
applied to areas of industrial drives,hybrid electric vehicles,
locomotives,utility power electronics,lighting and medical electronics.
Principle responsibilities include: concept formulation, analysis and
modeling,design and validation and leading technical activities and teams.
This person will be a key resource to all businesses that develop power
electronic products or systems, and will work with the key players within
the business to develop new products.
1.PhD in Electrical Engineering: 1-2 yrs. exp. for one eng, and 5-15 years
experience for the sr.eng/team leader. 2.In-depth knowledge of power
electronic circuits and systems including topology, magnetics,thermal,
electrical machines and controls.
3.Hands-on experience in building power electronics circuits 4.Strong
theoretical background in electromagnetics, electromechanical systems and
semiconductor physics. 5.Expertise in simulation tools such as Saber,
PSpice, Matlab (Simulink), EMTP/EMTDC.
