EXPERIENCE
While a graduate student at Merida State, I served in research and engineering designs in the Interfacial Phenomena and Oil Recovery Laboratory FIRP*, which was recently cited by Venezuela Oil Company (PDV) for its contributions to the country in ORIMULSION“ patent, reology, reometry and oil recovery. At FIRP, I worked extensively with varied topics, including drilling flows W/O and O/W, muds stability and formulation and reology of disperse systems with tixotropic behavior. Also I possess knowledge in directional drilling, directional drilling tools, conventional (long radius), medium and short wells; horizontal, multilateral and multibrach wells in petroleum production engineering (designs); drilling fluids (HTHP); measurement while drilling (MWD) and logging while drilling (LWD), water control; sand stabilization and exclusion (horizontal gravel-packing); high permeability fracturing evaluation (HPF), casing and tubing design and rock mechanics well bore construction.
During my internship I worked with primary cement, formation -fluid migration after cementing (controlling migration phenomena and evaluation of effectiveness), cement - sheath evaluation, remedial cementing in squeeze and plug cementing.
