Title:Senior Product Designer Location:New Haven Area Connecticut Education: AS Salary: $35,000-$55,000
Industry: Aerospace and Commercial Sensing Devices
We have a wonderful client on the Connecticut shoreline that designs and manufactures temperature sensing devices
(thermocouples, sensors, RTD's) and cables for aerospace (gas turbines/jet engine) applications. The company is
privately held, occupies 52,000 square feet and employs around 130 people.
We are looking for a designer or design engineer who will be responsible for designing thermocouples and RTD's,
doing tolerance studies, basic stress analysis and solid modeling. This individual will also be responsible for
tool design (mostly holding fixtures) and some forming tools. They should have some familiarity with press and
form tooling. In addition, they should have a minimum of five years experience with CAD (they use HPME 10 and Solidworks).
They should be skilled in the area of mechanical design; military drafting, mil standards, stampings and investment castings
would be a plus. They should also possess good engineering skills and be able to work with a minimum of direction from
other engineers. Ideally, we'd like someone with an ASME, pursuing a BSME or similar background.
The company has tripled in sales in the last five years. Opportunity for advancement is very likely here.
