One of Austin's largest contract manufacturing companies, Tool & Instrument Makers, www.toolandinstruments.com, is looking to merge with up to 3 other, smaller contract manufacturing companies. This will make Tool & Instrument Makers, the premier, one stop shop, for all OEMS and other large factories looking to outsource work to a contract shop.
Tool & Instrument Makers will be adding more prototype and fixturing capability along with a brand new sheet metal branch. They will now offer:
Production CNC turning
Production CNC milling
Double the Cad/Cam capability
Tool & Instrument Makers has also learned that the Brand New furnace, purchased for the rapidly growing permanent mold foundry is shipping from the vendor on 3/16/00, and should arrive at Tool & Instruments early next week.
General Manager, Tom Bloomer, told America's Business News Source, that he is confident that the mergers will move along and he see's no reason why, they should not complete.
He also stated that the company is behind on the McCallen expansion, due to other demands on the construction crews in McCallen.
Tool & Instrument Makers was established in 1985 as a small machining company. It has shown tremendous growth over the past 3 years with the addition of the permanent mold foundry, the aquisition of a large property in Taylor, Texas, and now the soon to be mergers that will triple the size and capability of this manufacturing company.
