I do not know what Swiss law may be, but in the US, I am quite certain that if you resign, you give up unemployment insurance benefits. The same may be true there which is why you are being pressured to resign; it will save your current employer the expense of your insurance coverage.

What you are describing, of course, is abuse. If you were in the US, I would suggest getting in touch with the Department of Labor in whatever state you lived in. Is there a similar agency where you are located? If so, I would seek their advice.
